Shabbat Shalom

Jonah and I had a wonderful visit today with our friends Abi and Gideon Taylor-Abt, and their children, Ben, Yael, and Roni.  It was so great to see them for the first time since they left Boise.  They were the most gracious of hosts, and we loved walking around their moshav, Shoresh, with them.

Jonah says: Today, we had a really fun day.  I visited my old friend Ben and today was very fun and I hope to have another day like this some other time soon.

One of the joys of being in Jerusalem is Shabbat: peaceful, restful, and a powerful spiritual experience.  We will be spending tonight at Kol HaNeshama, the local Reform shul, and tomorrow morning at Har El, the liberal shul downtown, where Josh will have an aliyah.

We're also following the tradition--and the Jerusalem way--turning off all of our electronics for Shabbat.

So we will end with a picture from our day with Abi and Gid and the kids, and wish everyone a restful and rejuvenating Shabbat.

Shabbat Shalom from both Dan and Jonah
